9 MONTH SURVEY

I can't believe that tomorrow we will have a 9 month old! Doing this a day early because we will be packing like crazy this weekend!

Weight - He has his 9 month appointment on Monday. I will update then. He is in size 4 diapers and wearing all 6-12 month clothing.

Height - Will update Monday also.

Sleeping habit - He has finally dropped his 3-4am nursing and sleeps the whole night! He normally goes to bed at 8:00pm and sleeps until 6:30-7:00. Unless it was today, and he wanted to be up at 5:00am! He naps twice a day for about 1.5 hours each nap. He has definitely been going through some separation anxiety. We used to be able to put him down wide awake for bed and naps, but now he freaks when we leave the room. Now it just takes a minute or two of rocking and some butt patting, and he is fine.

Eating habits - Nurses 4 times a day. Eats solids 3 times a day. We have introduced meat purees which he loves, and is still all about his finger foods; arrowroot cookies, cheese puffs, slices of bread, peas, broccoli, fruit....anything he can pick up on his own he much more interested in. He also seems to be favoring cups with straws to a sippy cup. He was ok with a sippy cup, but would end up playing with it. With a straw he gets right down to business....he just looks way too grown up for me while he is doing it though!!

Favorite activity - Cruising and crawling. He.is.all.over.the.place. He seriously never sits still for more than a minute. He even started going up the stairs (noooooooooooooo).

Milestones - This has been a crazy month. Let's see if I can remember everything.
He started crawling, pulling himself up, cruising, he walks (now runs) when he holds onto your fingers, he says "da da", he has SIX teeth (with 2 more on the way)!!, he feeds himself, he dances everytime music is turned on (by dances I mean bops his head up and down and wiggles front and back, he does't quite have the Hauser moves down yet!), he plays peek-a-boo, gives high five, waves bye bye. :::sigh::: that was exhausting just writing all of that.

Firsts- I think I covered all of this in my previous post about our trip to Vermont. His Mima and Nana got to create many firsts with him which was special for everyone. He first trip to Mima and Papa's house was so much fun, but it was really hard to leave everyone this time around. My grandparents were so important to me growing up, and I want the same for Nathan. For now frequent trips and Skype are helping, but we need something more...soooo, who is moving??? :)
